Shortly before Christmas we made a Me Film with Jenna from The Lounge, Coffee House and Studio in Ryde.

This welcoming café on the corner of Monkton Street and Simeon Street (in what was the old post office many moons ago!) offers a superb range of home made cakes and Portuguese custard tarts as well as offering to make your coffee for you pretty much however you like it!
Jenna and her mother Dawn are so genuinely friendly and welcoming that in a very short space of time, they seem to have turned this place into a real community hub, simply by talking and listening and encouraging others to do the same.
In addition to the café side of things, they offer window and shelf space to local artists and collectors who want to sell their things. There is a wonderful eclectic mix of objects, which are regularly moved around and updated to retain your interest.
This short film has Jenna telling you a little bit about the café and their ethos.
I have to finish by saying that it has, since filming here, it has become my café of choice in Ryde and I have already met some lovely people there and introduced some of my friends to it!
Make sure you pop in next time you are in Ryde!
